Jack`s Cafe in Tremont

Great biscuit and gravy, service was ok. Coffee had a wierd taste. The extra crispy bacon came out cold.The other three people in my party loved there breakfast.

This is not the first time we've eaten there and we keep coming back because both the food and service is excellent 👍

The food was pretty good. They were short staffed so everything took a bit longer. Not their fault. Staff was VERY friendly. I would go again.

Me and my wife have enjoyed jacks for a long time , but unfortunately tonight was not the night to be there. I have never been treated so rudely by a server in my life. I was able to talk to management and they took care of our bill. First class job. but if you hold on to this server you will probably lose a lot of your business

The service is friendly and caring. The staff really do their best to take care of you & your family. The even placed my daughters (who is 2) order so her food would come first to help lesson her wait time. We come a lot when out of state family visit. They always made us feel welcome.

Good food. But not a lot of social distancing and no all of the employees were wearing a mask. In this covid 19 times every one should be doing their part to keep us safe.

Varied menu with lots of great choices. Generous portions and we'll prepared. A great place to eat when you're looking for an uncomplicated meal.

Always enjoy the homemade bread baskets at each table. Bread is good. Especially with butter. Specials are offered daily and soup or salad is served with every meal. Portions are large. Affordable.

Very nice, out of the way restaurant. Polite people working there and the food is incredible. Portions are huge compared to other family style restaurants. Highly recommended.

Place is not exactly Covid consciousness, every employee that i saw when picking up an order interacting with tables and the front desk had masks, but as neck decor, not as a face covering. Not to mention the food is meh as best.

Food is amazing. Bread cooked fresh daily and complimentary also cup of fresh homemade soup with most orders. I can eat alot lol and usually have leftovers when leaving here. Good food big portions and friendly staff. Highly recommend

Great local spot! I have had both breakfast and lunch there. Staff is friendly, food was served fast and hot. What else could you ask for.

Nice little place. Was busy on a Friday night, but staff was friendly and food arrived pretty quickly. Tried the hot beef. No complaints. I would recommend this place.

Jack's restuarant is always great. They have wonderful homemade foods. Their homemade soups are delicious. The employees are great, very courteous

I do not recommend the Chicken Parmigiana, chicken was undercooked, pasta was mushy & the sauce from a can. Was never offered refills on drinks & the floor under the table the host seated us at, had food all over. We should have asked for another table. On the other hand, my wife enjoyed her club sandwich with fries. Our bill was only $25.05. I still left the waitress a $5 tip, maybe it was an off night, but still stay away from the Chicken Parmigiana!!

A good place with great breakfast. Room for wheelchair and easy to get in the door and to the table for someone in a wheelchair. The food was good normal breakfast food. One interesting item was the garbage potatoes. Sort of a Tremont take on the Springfield dish. The only issue is saw was weak coffee (but my mom liked it, so maybe i am no the target audience); plus, no half & half only fake whitener.

As an EMT Jack's provided a free meal to all first responders. This is a feather in their hat I appreciate the staff at Jack's and their willingness to provide the meal. Thank you ! The food was excellent.

The soup was very good. The sandwich I had was the best I ever ate. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Food was good. Staff not ready for our group even though we called ahead. Server was pleasant, but did not anticipate needs.

Nicky is an excellent server. The food is consistently delicious. The raisin toast is made with homemade bread & is a personal favorite. Prices are reasonable, the portions large. Go there.

Dinner on a Saturday evening, busy but shown to a table by our hostess. Our waitress came quickly to tell us about the dinner specials and ask us for our drink order. We both ordered the barbecue ribs, baked potato, one soup, one salad. The soup was vegetable-good taste, lots of vegetables. The salad was fresh greens, the French dressing was good. The ribs were excellent fall off the bone, meaty, barbecue sauce was great, tasty. The bread basket was great, the raisin bread was great.

The food was great. Everything was cooked perfectly. Atmosphere was very nice too. I have not been in here to eat yet and have been trying to since they opened. I'm glad we made it in. We will definitely be back. We both had special orders and our bill was under 20 bucks. Fair price great food. Super fast and everyone was very nice to us. She got the Smores pancakes with oreo topping haha. Thank you

Wonderful little cafe that we encountered in our travels. Very clean good food very nice people. I had Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes. Delicious. Definitely worth the stop.

Food was pretty good. Well cooked, not so well seasoned. Service was slower than it should have been, but otherwise a good place to eat.

Great atmosphere food could be more flavorful 7/10

We arrived at approx 3:00. Not to many customers at this time. The waitress was very polite, courteous & was very attentive to our needs; refilling drinks, removing dirty dishes. We decided to both get the Reuben sandwich. They make their reubens on their own marble rye bread with very generous portions of corned beef & kraut. We shared an order of fries, which looked & tasted like home made. Soup comes with the meal & I chose the potato soup, which was so good. Oh yeah, the soup is fresh made by them. They also put their homemade bread on the table. I tried, but I couldn't resist; I left there with a loaf of raisin bread & a loaf of white bread plus 3/4 of a Reuben sandwich. Jack's was an excellent choice of restaurants. Everything was excellent!!

Went with a group from church. Arrived early, before the supper rush. Had the fried catfish special. It was fabulous! Bean soup was not hot and wasn't a favorite either. Service was excellent. Enjoyed our meal.

Have always wanted to try this restaurant. I was not disappointed. The only problem was that there are so many things on the menu. It was very clean, they were very friendly and the food was very good. I will return!

Best steak I have had in a very long time. You can't go to a steak house and get this good of a steak and the price is Amazing. Great staff, and very nice atmosphere.

Food was very good.We love the cabbage soup. My husband had fried chicken with baked potato and I had grilled chicken with baked potato my chicken was tender and juicy. Our server was great too
